Business declares a commitment to ensure a 21st century education standard


27 Bulgarian organisations are the first ones to join the National Action Plan implementing the objectives of the European Pact for Youth

Eight priorities of change, involving all key stakeholders: teachers, students, parents, schools and universities, companies and branch organisations as well as non-governmental organisations, are set out in the National Plan.

Bulgarian delegation at the first European Business-Education Summit

Nearly 2000 children, parents and teachers visited the Children’s bazaar of professions this year


The third edition of the Children’s bazaar of professions attracted a record number of participants. The two-day event was visited by nearly 800 students and teachers coming from 27 different schools and more than 1100 children and parents who got a better understanding of various professions. Nearly 900 children spent one day at their parents’ workplace

Proud of_Eng_logoNearly 900 children between the age of 5 and 17 took part at the fifth consecutive edition of the “Proud of my parents’ work” initiative. During the school vacation, they were able to spend one day at the companies where their parents work. A total of 22 companies helped the children to learn more about the different professions by involving the small ones into interactive games and giving them practical tasks. Read more 


“Games for good” – in the name of good health, sports spirit and the meaningful causes

IMG_1543In 2017 the UNGC Network Bulgaria successfully executed the pilot edition of its project called “Games for good”. The project’s purpose, goals and ideology are directly related to Sustainable Development Goal 3 “Good Health and Well-Being”.

This project aims to show the Network’s members that the responsible companies, the good health of the employees, the sports and the charitable causes can be a successful combination that brings positive final results. Read more

The “Shared responsibility for the future” business panel was part of the conference “Towards Industry 4.0 – technology or ideology” organised by Sofia University, University of national and world economy, the Bulgarian science academy and the collaboration of the UNGC Bulgaria network. Work meeting on the European Pact for Youth

A work meeting was held at the European Commission’s representation in Bulgaria, the topic of which was the creation of the National action plan of Bulgaria for the Pact 4 youth. Participants at the event were representatives of the Bulgarian network’s member companies, of national educational institutions and non-governmental organisations, who discussed the priorities in which the stakeholders’ actions should be focused for improving the professional development possibilities of the young people in Bulgaria. “Games for good” – third consecutive tournament


More than 70 cyclists, together with the ones of Aurubis Bulgaria, Sopharma, TechnoLogica and Overgas, took part at the cycling tour, co-organised by the Bulgarian network and the hosting company of Aurubis Bulgaria. Read more 


The “Games for good” project continues with a tennis on court tournament
